"C" is for Cookie, that's good enough for me!

Alex started Kindergarten! He's such a big kid - riding the bus to school and doing homework. He's also quite the ladies man...it's almost a daily occurrence that he brings home a bracelet, note, or picture from the other Kindergarten girls on his bus! On the rare occasion that I've had to drive him to school, you would think he was a celebrity by the reaction upon his arrival! These girls yell all at once and have their hands up waving for Alex to come sit by them. Of course, I'm not terribly surprised...after all, he was dubbed "Casanova" in his Perky Kids class when he was 2 yrs. old.

It took him a couple of weeks to adjust to riding the bus, his school is 3 miles away but the bus ride takes 45 min! He was a little sad for a while and insisted on carrying a family pic in his pocket to help him "be brave," a tradition he's carried over from Preschool and Pre-K. Now he looks forward to each day but still carries his picture, just in case!

He started playing flag football a couple of weeks ago. Chad is the coach...

Brennan started Preschool and is out of diapers! He loves his class and thinks he is such a big kid now! The teachers at preschool told me that he really gets annoyed with them when they ask him if he has to go potty. He's very proud of himself and wants to do everything on his own!

These are pics from the Akron Zoo yesterday...

...SUPER cute zoo! Perfect for younger kids...and I personally LOVED the jellyfish exhibit.

Cosette started walking! She LOVES her new skill! She'll find something to carry and walk all over our house with it...usually it's a crumpled piece of paper or sometimes it's her very cute Hello Kitty purse in one hand and her brush in the other. Have I mentioned that she is extremely fond of accessories? Shoes, hats, sunglasses, purses...all of which she can put on herself. She's also really starting to appreciate clothes! Today we were looking at Halloween costumes and I pulled out a Princess Dress for her to see. She got really quiet, petted the tulle, looked up at me with her huge eyes and smiled so big...like it was the most beautiful dress she'd ever seen...she knew it was special!

Here's a pic of us "chillin' on a hot summer's day"...we're on the boat in Celina ...she's happy ...count the accessories! However...little Coco still likes to get dirty!

There's always room for 2 geologists in any family!

This is a picture I took of Cosette and Grandpa Romary......a little Sistine Chapel anyone?...I couldn't resist....

Have I mentioned that she LOVES cookies...she loves them so much I'm not even sure love is a strong enough word! Pictures are worth a thousand words so...ta da....

...here is a little cookie montage:

She takes her cookie eating business VERY seriously!

Here she is demanding a cookie for her left hand...she must have 2 cookies at all times!

Now she is showing me where the cookies are located...in case I don't know...
Now she is frantic and does not understand why I haven't hopped up to fetch another cookie!
Since it took me so long to get this post on my blog...I now have a cookie montage #2 (take note of too small hat accessory she insisted on wearing):

"Mama...hold my drink...I need both hands for this..."

cookie cheeks...
1, 2...ok, I have my quota
licking all cookie residue off container...
attempting to drink the crumbs...
"maybe if I stick my head all the way in..."
attempting to lick inside of container...
no more cookies coco!...all gone!?!@#$?

So that's all for today...
Apparently I'm on the computer too much...
signing off...
